Jakarta Provincial Government collaborates with SMERU Research Institute, an independent institution that conducts research and public studies, held Development Study Forum (FKP) on Violence Against Women at Pola Room, City Hall, Thursday (10/10).

Jakarta Secretary Assistant for Community Welfare, Catur Laswanto stated, Jakarta Provincial Government is very focus on handling violence issues against women and children in the capital.
"Through this event, hopefully we can get inputs that lead us to be better in handling cases of violence against women," he asserted.

"Violence against women and children can be reported through that application. It is connected with 112 and other related departments," he stated.
Meanwhile, the main researcher of SMERU Research Institute Jakarta, Asep Suryahadi assessed, violence issues against women and children can hamper women's welfare and participation in development.
"Thus we hope this seminar can be a place to exchange our ideas to eliminate violence against women," he stated.
